Eating Post

Eating Post is named for the post-like, broken-off tree in the drawing's foreground. The way the tree broke and fell formed a natural "v" shape on the top, and the first time I saw it, it was covered in feathers. Feathers in the cracks, feathers clinging to bark, feathers littering the ground... and the first thing to mind was, "Somebody got eaten!" At about four feet high, it made the perfect perch for a bird of prey with a meal. My next thought was that I had to draw there.
