Commission/Collaboration celebrating my brother's induction into the Citadel's Summerall Guard. It's a tradition for every member to personalize their pair of Chuck Taylors (part of their PT uniform), so Michael asked if I would paint his (he helped). I might have gone a bit overboard, but the Nicholas pride was at stake. Michael's position in the guard is a "Tree", one of the tallest members, so that inspired the theme. Influences were the Keebler elves, the scary trees from Disney's Snow White, and various medieval torture methods (he's a fan of history). Enjoy!
